About the Project
Peer-Ology society is a brand-new project that wants to provide a platform for experienced students, alumni and staff to share their knowledge & opinion in a diverse set of 'pre-defined' topics through 15-min talks. Students will be able to attend these talks, engage with the speaker or access our online platform to find more information that suits them.
About the Society
As part of the Student Union, our main aims as society are:

To increase students' familiarity with the University of Manchester and the city of Manchester - Introduction to the English culture.

To help less experienced students with important topics for them from their peer’s point of view such as grades, exams, subjects, accommodation, employability, societies, trips, culture, languages, etc.

To strive for cultural integration by allowing more experienced students to share their knowledge they have gained so far by living in a cosmopolitan and always-changing city.
Aldo Andrade, President
My name is Aldo Andrade and I am a 4th Year Student for a MEng Degree in Mechatronics Engineering. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, I love food and finding new places to eat, and hanging out with my friends! I founded this project because I believe in communities and the power of knowledge. I am proud to be working with an enthusiastic group of people that are eager to improve all students' university life!

My name is Gibran Andrade and I am studying Mechatronics 2nd year. I started this project because I believe in strengthen our community and helping new students become more aware of what university life has to offer. I believe in a better future, I enjoy eating, dancing Salsa, Bachata and any other type of music, I can play drums and piano.

Hi, my name is Karina Nurlybayeva. Currently I am studying Masters in Digital Signal Processing. My hobbies include origami and reading. I have joined this Society, because I feel like students do not have enough help to answer their questions and with this society I believe we can manage to address many of their main concerns throughout the year. The format of presentations allows getting the most useful information in the shortest time, so no struggles with finding a time to come to these sessions. Furthermore, with this society you can get introduced to more fun topics, events and meet lots of new people.
